Henry Garcia Selected For Oakland Spiders Roster

Congratulations to Alameda Ultimate’s Henry Garcia on being selected for the Oakland Spiders professional ultimate frisbee team for the 2025 season! Henry joins several other Alameda Ultimate alumni for this season’s Spiders, including Raekwon Adkins, Eli Kearns, and Adam Rees. Henry will graduate from Encinal Jr/Sr High School this June and attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in the fall, where he looks forward to college ultimate!

Violet Yap plays with Team USA at the World Junior Ultimate Championships!

Rising Freshman and Monarchs player, Violet Yap, helped Team USA’s Women’s team take home the silver medal at the World Junior Ultimate Championships held in Birmingham, England on July 21-28, 2024. The Woman’s team finished the tournament with a record of 8-1.

Over the years, several Alameda Ultimate players have been selected to play for Team USA’s U20 team including Robin Anthony-Petersen, Jake Thorne, Eli Kerns, Marisa Rafter, and Sarafina Angstadt-Leto.


2024 California High School State Championships

Alameda Ultimate’s Open (boys) high school team and Girls (Gx) high school team each finished as the fourth best team in the state in their respective divisions. A great finish to the 2023-2024 seasons. Congrats Monarchs!


2024 NorCal Middle School Championship

Congrats to the Taurus middle school team on finishing third best in the state and for winning first place for the Spirit Award. Way to go Taurus - a fantastic end to the season!


2023 Fog Five Tournament

Alameda Ultimate sent three teams to the Fog Five Tournament at Ocean Beach in San Francisco. The Monarchs Mixed High School team claimed 2nd place while the High School Open team finished 5th out of 15 teams. The Taurus Middle School Open team played as well, finishing in 6th place for the day in a competitive field.

2023 California High School State Champions

CONGRATS to the Monarchs for winning first place at the 2023 California State Championships and finishing the 2023 season ranked 26th in the country!
